    Commissioned 52 new Australian works, including 14 Female composers, 4 Indigenous composers.

    Delivered 32 performance and workshop activities (QLD, NSW, VIC, SA, ACT, TAS), reaching an audience of over 3000.

    AVÉ commissions have been programmed and performed by other vocal groups, including Adelaide Chamber Singers

    7 digital projects: 6 Music Films and an Online Choir Project

    2021 ABC Classic Choir: recording Katie Noonan’s All Is Love with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and thousands of singers nationally

    Live television appearances on Q&A (ABC) and Studio 10 (Channel 10)

    Released an EP featuring 6 Australian commissions

    Recorded two full albums for ABC release featuring commissions setting texts of two QLD poets; David Malouf and Gwen Harwood.

    Recorded a new body of work composed by NSW composers.

  • First Nations Engagement

    Welcome to Country engagement at every performance

    Commissioned 4 Indigenous composers - Brenda Gifford, Eric Avery, Nardi Simpson, Aaron Wyatt

    Commissioned language translations of Bach chorales in Gubbi Gubbi, Noongar, Gadigal, Gumbaynggirr and Gamilaraay

    Engaged local language holders in touring locations

  • Education & Outreach

    Developed a complete education resource, aligned and mapped to the National Curriculum, featuring 5 AVÉ Commissions and a Bach Chorale in language

    Commissioned two arrangements for community and student choirs for collaborative performances when touring

    Arrangements shared with eight regional community choirs performed together in Regional NSW and Regional QLD.

    Performed with 1000 Choristers in the Concert Hall, Sydney Opera House, premiering a new work commissioned by Sydney Philharmonia Choirs and composed by AVÉ ensemble members Katie Noonan and Andrew O’Connor.

    Creative Australia funding for commissioning Tim Winton AO Song Cycle, performances in Regional QLD, and a recording. ($100,000)

    Creative Australia funding for compositional workshops, new commissions setting the words of Trent Dalton, and furthering language revitalisation activities. ($100,000)

    QASP Funding for commissioning QLD Queer composers setting the words of QLD queer authors and poets to premiere at MELT Festival, Brisbane. ($60,000)

    Artists in Residence with the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. In 2025 this will involve engagement with compositional students as a multi-year project with collaborative performance outcomes.
