This resource is designed to be used by a variety of users:
Primary teachers of Stage 3 (Grades 5/6)
Secondary Music, Dance and English teachers of Stage 4 (years 7/8 non elective students) and Stage 5 (years 9/10 elective students)
Local conservatorium teachers who are teaching a variety of ensembles and students
Local community choirs
The activities for each of the four pieces chosen by AVÉ have been arranged from simple introductory activities to more complex ones in sequence.
Each user would choose the activities to suit the group they are teaching/working with. For e.g.
A Stage 3 primary teacher may only use the first and second activities
A Stage 4 teacher may move quickly through the first two activities and finish with the third activity
A Stage 5 teacher would select some items from the first activities as a preparation for activities three, four and five.
A conservatorium teacher would choose the activities relevant to their students
The community choir conductor would choose the activities related to the performance of the pieces, possibly with AVÉ in a workshop or performance.
